Connect IndiaMART

Buyer enquiries from IndiaMART arrive in FollowThroo the moment they are sent, with the buyer's name, company, phone, email and message, so nobody has to copy them over by hand.

This guide shows you how to connect this source. By the end you will be able to have new IndiaMART buyer enquiries arrive in FollowThroo as leads, and know what to do about older ones.

Before you start

  • A paid IndiaMART seller account with Lead Manager.
  • Settings, then Lead sources, open in FollowThroo to copy your link.

Steps

    In FollowThroo, open Settings, then Lead sources, and copy the link in the IndiaMART box.

    Sign in to your IndiaMART seller account and go to Lead Manager, then Import/Export Leads, then Push API. (Push API is IndiaMART's name for sending each new enquiry on to another program the moment it arrives.)

    Choose Other as your platform, paste the link where it asks for the address to send leads to, and save.

    The next enquiry you get on IndiaMART should appear in Leads, and the box in FollowThroo should say Configured.

If something goes wrong

Enquiries from before you connected didn't come across.
The connection above only carries new enquiries, from the moment you set it up. Bringing in older ones isn't something you can do yourself yet. You can ask for help at support@followthroo.com, but please do not email your IndiaMART keys or passwords to anyone, including us. Tell us you want older enquiries brought in, and we will arrange a safe way to do it. In the meantime you can download your past enquiries from IndiaMART as a spreadsheet and bring them in with the spreadsheet import (see Spreadsheet import below).
Enquiries stopped coming for a while.
If the connection was down, or IndiaMART couldn't reach FollowThroo, those enquiries were missed. Download them from IndiaMART as a spreadsheet and import them, or ask us for help (again, without sending any keys).
An enquiry arrived with no email address.
That's normal: many IndiaMART buyers share only a phone number. The lead is still created from the phone number.
Nothing arrives at all.
Check that you pasted the whole link, including the long code at the end, and that your IndiaMART plan includes Push API (IndiaMART offers it to paid sellers). Then see the troubleshooting list below.
